European business opportunities

Take advantage of the growing BEV market and stock up, as your buyers will benefit from government incentives and/or tax exemptions for driving a BEV in most countries.

Periodic shifts in countries' incentive schemes influence your business opportunities for importing (or exporting) EVs and BEVs. Make sure you also check on vehicles abroad, as this will certainly benefit your business success!

FAQ

Get quick answers to all our most frequent questions.

What exactly is being tested to assess the battery health?

High-voltage battery usage and history: BMS estimated state of health, average consumption, fast charge cycles and normal charge cycles, SoC and DoD histogram, equalization times and full battery cycles.

Performance of the high-voltage battery: battery utilization, insulation resistance, HV voltage, battery temperature, cell voltage, cell temperature.

High-voltage battery control unit: It is tested whether the estimated battery SoC is correct, whether the read-out health status (see below) is plausible, whether the cell SoCs are correct and the cell SoHs are plausible, whether all temperature sensors and cell voltage sensors are OK.

Vehicle communication interface: It is tested whether all required signals are available and plausible, whether the sampling rate of the individual signals is correct and whether the signal quality meets the requirements.

How can I interpret the BCA EV Battery Health Gradings?

The higher the score, the better the battery condition. In the event of substantial risks, the FLASH test provides a "red flag" report with specific information on the type and nature of the fault.

Is there any additional cost for battery health service?

BCA provides you with this service free of charge for tested vehicles presented in the EU BEV sales and the Tesla sales. For tested vehicles presented in any other BCA sale we will charge you €40, being less than half of the market value of the test report.

Is the full BCA EV Battery Health Grading report available?

Yes. As part of the BCA EV Battery Health Grading, you not only get to see a quick reference summary to determine a vehicle's traction battery condition, but you also get access to the full flash test report and score.

Where can I found the BCA EV Battery Health Grading?

You can find the BCA EV Battery Health Grading in the same place as the inspection report: on each vehicle lot details page.
