Process to submit a claim in Germany

How to submit a claim

1. Note your comments on the handover

If you receive the vehicle via BCA ETS Transport: note the defects on the CMR. If you or your carrier pick up the vehicle: make sure that the defect was recorded on the handover at the time of collection.

2. Mileage counter picture

In order to accept your claim, BCA will request a picture of the mileage counter.

3. 48 hours to submit a claim

Vehicles can be claimed within 48 h by uses a transport agency. 24 hours if the vehicle was delivered by BCA.

4. Fill the online form

Please find the claim form below.

5. Attach documents

Attach the issue voucher or CMR , the mileage counter picture and other relevant pictures or documents that support your claim in our online form.

Before submitting a claim

Please note that the following cases are not subject to any claim:

  • Missing accessories according to item 1.3 of the damage catalogue, e.g. missing spare wheels, cigarette lighter, antenna rods, etc.
  • The maximum distance your vehicle may be moved on its own axle is 50 km.
  • Vehicles with a mileage of more than 180,000 km or a first registration older than 10 years with an exclusion of claims for damages. The same applies to vehicles with a value of up to € 1.500.
  • All wear parts (tyres, clutches, brakes, brake pads, etc.) and small components (gear wheels, belts, etc.).
  • Defective vehicle batteries and resulting, undetectable damage.
  • Defective vehicle batteries incl. consequential damage from external starting processes.
  • Minor damage up to 350 euros.
  • All signs of use according to damage catalogue.
